Beneficiaries
TAMA serves a diverse range of beneficiaries across Tanzania, with a strong focus on vulnerable and underserved farming communities. Our primary beneficiaries are smallholder farmers, who make up the backbone of Tanzania’s food production but often lack access to modern tools, knowledge, and markets. Within this group, we prioritize women farmers, who face systemic barriers despite playing a central role in agriculture and household nutrition. TAMA supports them with training, access to inputs, and leadership development to increase their productivity and decision-making power.
We also engage youth aged 18–35, equipping them with agro-mechanization skills, entrepreneurship training, and digital tools to attract them to agriculture as a viable and dignified livelihood. Another key group includes farmers living in climate-vulnerable zones, where we promote climate-smart techniques and adaptation strategies to ensure resilience and food security.
Additionally, TAMA supports nutrition-sensitive producers growing biofortified and nutrient-dense crops, particularly for maternal and child health. We work closely with farmers with disabilities and marginalized rural communities, ensuring inclusivity and equal opportunities for economic participation.
Through our tailored programs, TAMA reaches thousands of individuals annually, empowering them to increase yields, improve incomes, and build resilient, thriving communities across Tanzania.
