Ecosystems Based Adaptations for Food Security Assembly (EBAFOSA) is the first inclusive Pan-African Policy framework and implementation platform endorsed by UN Environment and African Union to leverage cross-cutting partnerships between stakeholders to bridge gaps towards ensuring appropriate policies and actions towards optimizing Africa's agro-value chain and unlocking opportunities inherent in high-level global, continental and country climate and development policy positions especially the COP 21 & COP 22 Agreements, the SDGs, the Paris Agreement and AU Agenda 2063 are realized by our country, Tanzania and across all African States.
EBAFOSA was launched in Tanzania on 26th August 2016 by Deputy Permanent Secretary, on behalf of Minister of Environment, Hon. January Makamba - the date to mark the Tanzania National Climate Resilience and Food Security Day.
EBAFOSA Tanzania whose vision is a food secured Africa is being hosted by TAMA and governed by Tanzania National Bureau (TNB) Members representing state and non state actors across the country.
